Repenter your sins!

With just under a calendar month to go to the ETC I thought I’d write a few lines to update readers on my (slow) painting progress  for the event.  In the last post I was fairly certain on my list, but a bit less so on the reserves.  That is still pretty much the case gaming wise as I’ve just tried the double Repenters and choir twice.  They were relatively effective in managing to burn some high defence Kayazy in one game and Gun Mages in the other – having three focus on the turn they arrive is helpful in causing mayhem, though in later turns they are less useful and tend to be out of control for allocating focus to.  I might have been better choosing another infantry unit, but time is short to get enough painted.

Below are a few photos of the finished pair of Repenters.  They were painted identically to other Menoth jacks.  The only thing of note to mention is the fact one of them actually has the metal Blessing of Vengeance legs.  I did a small conversion on the Blessing, giving it plastic legs to make it look less ‘dumpy’, seen in this entry.  There was a small amount of work done on the Repenter torso to allow the metal legs to look like they fit with the model and after both were finished it isn’t actually that easy to notice they’ve got different legs and lower torsos!

I've still got the second Choir of Menoth to paint up before the event to add to these warjacks to complete the reserve forces.  A month should be enough, though painting has been so slow recently.
